25/6/2022 0 Comments Boxing day in JuneThis weeks post is something completely different. Every photographer needs to get himself in a totally unknown environment from time to time. brings new challenges and learning opportunities . Here I find myself next to a boxing ring in a small boxing club with lighting straight out of photographers nightmares and no flash should be used. You have three rounds,... @Boxing team Respect, Lauwe with Christophe Lefebvre (yellow) and Quentin Ruskov Domingos (white).

A double exposure (in camera, no photoshop). The beginning of a good weekend. I changed the logo on my shirt and did a small touchup in post, but the main image is pure in camera.
29/5/2022 0 Comments Double exposure in ZeelandIt had been a while since I had time for some creativity, so this weekend I had one simple plan: do not take any 'normal pictures'.
The result is this double exposure of a Harlequin nudibranch (Polycera quadrilineata) and a sunset shot. Done in camera and just cleaned up a bit in post. 22/5/2022 0 Comments Weekend shot: Doris OcelligeraThis week we saw the baby lumpsuckers in the wakame weeds. Those who paid attention in my biology class knew where to look.
Deze week zagen we baby snotolfjes in het Wakamewier. Wie goed oplette in mijn biologieles, kon ze makkelijk vinden. 24/4/2022 0 Comments Comitas Wreck17/4/2022 0 Comments Harlequin NudibranchI was awarded a second place in 'sports' for the left photo of the freedivers. Depicting the freedom before the pandemic. The right photo was given an honorable mention in the category 'people'. It contrasts deeply with the previous because it is a depiction of healthcare workers' fatigue. Merely an artistic approach to the subject, because I did not want to show anybody's real struggle. I don't like poverty porn or pandemic photography, so I created this without real life depiction, proving the trends of this days awards. I did however get an email that the left image unofficially deserved a first place, since there seem to be some problems with the competitor that took first. Never a dull moment.
